Under the consultancy of the great oenologist Michel Rolland, Château Côte de Baleau had the objective of becoming part of the Grands Crus Classés Saint-Emilion … It obtained this rank with the new 2012 classification! Everything is done to push the wine to its best, with a recent renovation and modernization of the vat cellar. Planted on a clay-limestone terroir, the vineyard of eight hectares is mainly composed of Merlot (70%), with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet-Sauvignon in equal proportions.
Côte de Baleau wine is very seductive thanks to its silky and luscious notes of black fruits, while staying discreet and elegant. Able to age, it will be delightful in its youth, with lovely pure fruit.
