Too bad they make very, VERY little, and therefore very, VERY few insiders scoop it all up in record time.

So here is how this wine came about, per Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate “Bo and Heidi Barrett have turned out fabulous Cabernet Sauvignons. Readers may recall the Barretts started their own label when it looked like Château Cos d’Estournel was about to purchase Chateau Montelena a few years ago. That transaction never closed, but it did result in the creation of this impressive new project.”

What else can we say but that this is exactly what Santa MEANT to bring you today? Oh, and it just got the 99 points below, so at this price, we’re basically giving it away.

“The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, with 2.5% Cabernet Franc in the blend, is Heidi & Bo Barrett’s label. Deep garnet-purple in color, it prances out with exuberant notes of wild blueberries, redcurrant jelly, and warm cassis plus suggestions of garrigue, violets, and mossy tree bark with a touch of cardamom. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers tightly wound, electric black and red berry layers with a solid backbone of exquisitely ripe, fine-grained tannins and compelling tension, finishing long and fragrant. Drink 2027-2052.”
